2024 Roses on the Runway! PreDerby Fashion Show
Our success at the Young Nonprofit Foundation wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of our team and community members.

YNPF "Roses on the Runway!" 2024
Theme: Modern Vintage Upscale
For our first ever show, the Young Nonprofit Foundation encourages designers to think and create out-of-the-box artwork that captures the elegance of past Kentucky Derby’s mixed with the modernness’ of springtime in Louisville. Fashion is rapidly changing. Recalling the essence of the Derby rose, it makes one think of surrealism, sexiness, beauty and power. Roses on the Runway is set on Oaks Day, and the main inspiration for our theme.
Designers are encouraged to encapsule this spirit by showcasing all of the different forms of elegance from past fashion periods. We love to see the over-the-top dresses from the Victorian period; the long flowing skirts of Boho; the bold showing of the midriff and legs from ladies during the Swinging Sixties; trailing feathery jackets worn by Hollywood Glamour Girls; the bright colors on men from the Disco and Hippy period.
By blending the past fashions with the modern flair of spring, YNPF hopes for all designers’ artwork to be dazzling, bright, and alluring while incorporating the overall feeling of Derby.
